Portland Slag Cement

This high performance blended cement is produced with pulverized clinker (53 grade) and the most consistent granulated blast furnace slag with more than 95% glass content. This provides much higher compressive strength than 53 grades OPC at 28 days. The unique chemical properties of the Lafarge PSC are achieved through the help of Lafarge's transnational Research Centers in Paris & Kuala Lumpur.

 

Lafarge  PSC is a  very high performance blended cement far exceeds the quality requirement of IS: 455-1989 .

 

Lafarge PSC imparts better performance than OPC because of factors such as:

• Low free lime in PSC -leads in reduction of leaching.
• Low Heat of hydration in Concrete -gives a durable structure.

Unique features of Lafarge PSC make it suitable cement for heavy-duty structures like flyovers, dams, aqueducts & marine structures, for producing asbestos cement products and also for sub soil constructions and structures in hostile soil environment with high salinity, moisture and harmful chemical agents.

Lafarge PSC is available in 50 kg bags. The PPC drawn from its silos is fed directly to the automatic rotary packers for bagging & then loaded into trucks & rail wagons for delivery at different destinations. Bulk cement may also be loaded directly from silos for delivery at specific locations.
